Default 964 SPEEDSTER.............

Well look what came in today for an oil service !!

I sold this thing new back in 1994.........and it has been in Calgary ever since. I has finally accumulated over 10K.....actually it now has a whopping 10,679 kms on the odometer.

It was nice to see it again............ahhhhhhhh the good old days. Sorry about the low light......it was 830AM and we don't get a full sunrise until around 900AM now.

Even though I am not too fond of the color yellow... it is a very nice 964. Thanks for sharing!

looks brand new
I have the same car with regular sport seats, widebody silver
Always wondered why Porsche did the opposite on the -94 compared to the -89 where the narrowbodied one was the rare of the breed

You could get the car with this interior treatment in either Guards Red leather or Maritime Blue leather, as well as the Speed Yellow pictured here.

Lots of buyers did plain black leather however just because it was easier for resale. I love this kind of stuff inside the car.........makes it unique.

Very nice car! Thanks for sharing. Is the yellow dashboard standard just like the RS interior?

Greetings,
Henrik

Shouldn't the wheels be in yellow also?

It was a no cost option to get them painted silver. Personally, I'd have done them in the yellow.

And the dashboard trim was color coded as part of the interior package......you got the seat belts, door pull straps, door handles, E-brake, shifter and dash panel in color coded leather, along with the seat backs painted to match.

Interestingly, the colored seat cushions were only installed that way if you took the colored interior trim. If you ordered an all black interior, but with the race buckets, you got all black seats.

I sold another one here also, that was Polar Silver, with black leather and the regular sport seats with electric height and heated seats. But we had the factory do the blue interior trim. It looks cool because of the blue tint that is in the Polar Silver paint.

I rented - yes, rented a silver one in Munich in about 1994 ( Airport/ Europocar ) - I drove down to Oberammergau to lecture at the NATO school - one of Her Hitlers undestroyed officer playgrounds
- great road - unrestricted and the road up to Oberammergau is one of the best hill climbs in Europe
Ah! - those were the days my friends - I really did think they would never end.
