Default Intro 964 signal green

Hi there,

as a newbie, I’d like to introduce myself to you, even I finished some first mods at my 964.

My name is Frank and I live in Dortmund / Germany. Dortmund is a former centre of industrial steel production and 200 km away from the famous northloop.

Infected by the Porsche virus, I started with a 964 which was converted to a tracktool. Horny to get more power, I bought an GT3 mkI, which I wrecked at 140 mph at the northloop. A GT3mkII was sold later because of decreasing my trackactivities.

Beginning of 2007 I bought my fav car, a 964 C2 in signal green. As we investigated, it is one of 7 in signal green ever built C2 and one of only 3 of 7 without sunroof.
Stock equipped with full leather, diff lock and 92l tank and aircondition, it was the best base to get.
Because of my experiences in the past, I don’t wanted to get an RS clone, or something like that. I wanted to build up MY 964 with some comfortable features for riding to events, but even it need to be a Porsche for a certain trackday.

So here’s the list with my mods:

Big reds with 965 hubs
H&R stabis
KW competition suspensions
Cup exhaust
Kerscher cup wheels
993 rear windows
Recaro PP with signal green coating
993 rear carpet without seats ( replaces the carpet where’s the loudspeaker )

After some bad experiences with KW var.3 in two cars, I spoke with a german distributor about my wishes and they created a special competition suspension for my requests. Soft enough for driving on the street but even tight enough for a track ride.
They did a brilliant job. After some streetlegal experiences the setup it straight and tight to feel it’s a Porsche and I have adjusted the suspension nearly 20% “closed”. This means, there is enough space for an track adjustment. Absolutely no understeer and the rear is controllable with the gaspedal. Poweroversteer is controllable with boots on and even more important, if I close the throttle driving into a corner, I have no problem to control the angle of sliding in.

Yeah, that’s all for a first intro and I will ask my friend CD, who has taken part of my life during the tuning period, to post some pics, even I am still not allowed to do so.

Have a nice day you all and read you soon.

Frank

Frank,

Spitzenmaessiges Fahrzeug! I like everything - Nicely lowered to what is probably the minimum ride height and the color...signal green (or orange for that matter) .. doesn't get better than that. Congrats on an awesome car!
...just put the Carrera sticker back on

yah forgot about the weight advantage... how about replacing the fog lights with some air brake ducts just like the maritime blue car on your last pic?
