Freejack, your car looks fantastic, Signal Green is so cool for the 964.

After some bad experiences with KW var.3 in two cars, I spoke with a german distributor about my wishes and they created a special competition suspension for my requests. Soft enough for driving on the street but even tight enough for a track ride.
They did a brilliant job. After some streetlegal experiences the setup it straight and tight to feel it’s a Porsche and I have adjusted the suspension nearly 20% “closed”. This means, there is enough space for an track adjustment. Absolutely no understeer and the rear is controllable with the gaspedal. Poweroversteer is controllable with boots on and even more important, if I close the throttle driving into a corner, I have no problem to control the angle of sliding in.

I have KW V3 suspension on my C2, fitted at the factory in Germany, do you know what mods they made?

Cheers Andrew

That car is VERY good.
You changed the rear quarters? Did you change just the rubber to 993? Is the glass the same size?
Iam going to order the 993 quarter rubbers tommorow, i hope the glass is the same for both cars.

andrew

it is an kw competition suspension, that is a complete other type.
at first we considered to modify such a var.3, but the engineer told me, that it is easier to modify the comp. suspension, because it is a pure race part. because of this, they have all necessarry spring, valves and adjustments available. the var.3 is a street suspension and they cannot make such basicly changes. ( they told me ). I am looking for the part list, because I really want to know about spring forces and more. the spring force of a comp. susp. is usually double as high as a var.3.

No, the glass is complete different! It is a bit larger and the corners are a bit more round!

the carbon parts are from a german manufacturer, who worked in former times for a racing team. the quality is best I've ever seen. I am not sure, if he has a website for selling those parts, because he is member of a german forum and we still order our parts by this.

Beautiful. Those Kersher wheels: how much do they weigh? Are they 1 piece or split rims?
