Good job Rob. Personally, I like the centre console and I'll bet it looks much better in the flesh - the orange effect caused by the photo flash won't do it justice.

Thanks, after a time getting used to it, I like it and it's staying red.
It does look better in the flesh rather than the orange effect in the pic, and with teh black of the handbrake and g/**** I've decided it's not too much.

Shipping to the UK was around £20. Bob did me some discount as I'd sent my old set over to him to pattern.
Like I said, for the money the carpets not bad. No where near original Porsche quality but cheap enough not to be if you know what I mean?!?!?
He should have the RHD pattern now, just ask him to reverse the centre tunnel front part so the rubber/pvc footrest is on the RHS not Left.
Door panels are ok but I'm going to recover them myself and use original porsche fittings. That way I can match up the door panel tops and bits under the rear window.

Jerry,
Carpet install wasn't that bad. ThomasC2 mailed me some pics of his Appbiz carpet install which helped no end.
I just had to be patient(not one of my best qualities) and have plenty of coffee and nicotene handy.
Best bit is you can see the improvement as you go along.
Worst bit was the centre console carpet where you have to fold in half and cut the holes.
Appbiz's carpet is a great quality for the price, I did send Bob my side pieces to make a rhd set but the tunnel is different as well, that's why I've got a plastic pad in the pass. footwell but I can cope with that for $260 rather than £661 here in the UK.
Ebenke - I think I've saved in the area of around 75-90 kg. I'll post some more pix when I get chance to take some.
Kirk - Thanks!
Have Fun

Thinking I might get someone to fit it as I am likely to mess it up though. Anyone know a place in Yorkshire that could fit a carpet to a 911?

Yep, still have the pix, drop me your email address and I'll send them over.
PoP to fit, if I can do it anyone can. But it is cold out there so completely understand you getting someone to do it for you. Prep is the key!!

Very nice! One of my future projects. Can you share any helpful hints best practices, or gotchas?
Also products used would be great.

will do Kevin.
the carpet in mine is white. the Previous owner had it cleaned which only brought all the dirt to the surface and it looks terrible.
this appiz carpet is cheap enough to take a risk with so I have gone for blue. I have seen a car exactly the same as mine with blue carpert and it looked great.
if it looks crap in this colour it was only £200 ish quid so wont be too unhappy

Maybe it's time for me to do a DIY-guide on the carpet installation....
