I like the cage idea but I'm not sure the Heigo specs are legal for PCA Club Racing or other sanctioning bodies. It's just something to consider before you start pulling seats, cutting carpet and drillings holes.

What suspension are you running and did you have to modify to get those numbers?

I'm told the max they can give me is -0.5 on the front unless they modify the upper mounts.

I assumed I got camber plates (but never checked- I still have my carpet in)- aren't they included in the JIC package- or did I need to order separately?

That might explain things if I didn't.

The Cross Competition coilovers come with camber plates. They refer to them as Pillow Ball Upper mounts.

Not to sound like a wise guy (or anything) but you know the front compartment carpet is attached with snaps all the way around, right? You can just pull it back and check it out. You'd have to remove the rears to get a good look.

The car is in Atl and I'm in Nassau at present- but I'll get my wife to check tonight.

They were sent directly to the installer so I didn't see them before, during or after the install- maybe they bait 'n switched me and put in Boge shocks with no c/plates : 0

If you have the JIC camber plates , they should give you all the suspension adjustment you could possibly want.

If the shop says differently either there is something else wrong or you need to find a more competent shop.

Yes, something doesn't seem quite right. Are you having the work performed by an independent Porsche speciaist? One that works on Porsche track cars would be ideal--not the dealership. That caster angle and claim of -0.5 max camber would be red flags to me.

I'm beginning to wonder- I took it to a well regarded place (RL approved) who sent it out for the alignment and c/b.

They worked on it all day and the guy who did it told me this (-0.5) was the most they could get on the front without mods (concentric bolts etc.) which just didn't sound right to me. Unless they did not get camber plates/pillow ***** as I thought was the deal. But is a possibility.

Its a long story but the vendor sent the incorrect rear mounts (wrong MY) and it took almost 3 weeks to get the correct ones to the installer- with the car disassembled on the hoist the whole time (read: installer not impressed).

Which is why I'm here asking stupid questions.

Okay, farming out this job is definitely strike three. If they don't do alignments, then they're probably not a true Porsche specialist. You may want to ask others within your local PCA Region which shops are prepping cars for the track. Their lifts will be filled with p-cars only and many are adorned with sponsor logos. That's where your car belongs.

Nonsense. This is an excellent discussion and one which may help others should they find themselves in your shoes.

Just called my wife. Funny conversation, getting her to look at this for me.

Anyway she says camber plate on passenger side has room for adjustment (negative) while driver's side does not. I'll have to sort this out on Friday when there and report back.

I'll be interested to see what you find David. I thought the Cross kit had camber plates already too. .5 is nothing, you should be able to get at least 2.5.

Somethings not right- we'll get to the bottom of it.

I will say camber aside they do feel great- once dialed I can only imagine.

Ok - firsthand viewing reveals camber plates. Check.
But that the driver's side front strut is all the way inboard while the passenger side is not and has additional scope for adjustment i.e. neg camber.

The car was corner balanced with 180 lbs.

The specs are:

FL
Camber
Caster
Toe
SAI
