Default Track car is coming together (pics to follow)

Post JIC suspension, seats, etc. the car is coming along.

The alignment will have to be revisted as without concentric bolts we could only get max of -0.5 in the front end (but -2.0 rear) but otherwise car feels great. So far the JIC suspension is no where near too harsh for the street and I'm here in Birmingham and hope to get some laps at Barber Motorsports track to see how it is on the track.

Thanks to all here for help to date.

Can someone resize some jpgs for me- I'm travelling and don't have the (Mac) software with me. I can email them to you.

TIA

Very nice, but now you have just gone and added to the "which wheels?" debate that has been going around in my head for several months while I wait for the car to come back.

The car came with TT's and they are my favorite wheel. I know they are not the best but for the time being they are it.

Looking great David. Do the rear wheels have spacers?

Chris- I don't think so but I'll check next week when back in Atl.
If there are spacers they could be wider still as there is room to push the wheels out further.

Car feels good on the street/hwy but needs to come down a little in front with more fr camber- its a little heavy in the steering dept what with more camber in back at present. This ought to improve turn in.

I tracked 997, 997 S, Cayman and Boxster S this week at Barber Park in AL but they wouldn't let me take the C2 on it. Pity- would have been a great compartive opportunity. The new cars are very easy to drive and very hard to screw it up. PSM is the great equalizer.

Still I had lots of fun thrashing someone else's cars.

BTW- drove 2.5 hrs to and from the track and the seats are very comfortable. Passenger said the same thing. I'm really happy with them and the Cross'.

Heres the last pic. Looks better cosmetically in the photo than in real life- its a 10 ft beauty- which is fine.
Any comments on rake? I'm think fr could come down a touch.

Your car seems to have a lot of forward caster.

Here's my previous car and, as you can see, the location of the front wheel is more centered in the front arch than yours seems to be. Yes, mine had been aligned for track duty but I'm not sure the difference in caster should be so apparent.

Also, David, I was wondering what sort of roll protection you were going with?

Joey- right now I've just got a BK harness bar but am planning on a Heigo alu cage.

I hear what you are saying about castor. My wheels are slightliy turned in the pic which may exagerate the appearnace but sill there may an issue. I have the post alignment/corner balance specs back in Atl and will be there this w/e so I'll post them.

Can you post your specs?
