Question Wevo semi-solid engine mounts: any long-term feedback?

I know a few here have experience with the Wevo engine mounts and I was wondering what the long-term results are.

Are they lasting? Do you like them?

I am looking at that as my next upgrade (along with appropriate engine hanger reinforcement too, of course).

Thanks.

Marc

Marc,

I'll check out how mine have held up tonight and tell you if there is any wear. (I barely glanced at them when I pulled them off last night)

I noticed they definetly added some engine vibration into the car.

I will say this: when you do the motor mounts you really should be doing the trans mount at the same time. Wevo doesn't offer a trans mount but one is available from Pelican and it's an easy install as well. They are a combination must do if you want a great feel on track! MIne has been in since January and I only wish I had done it a year ago!

I have run them for 2 seasons on the 964 cup...They are great...no more cracked engine carriers and the "buzz" from the tranny and engine is much less...shifting is bolt-action like as well. I'll never go back to solid mounts on this car.

Good reminder. I should replace mine as well. I will add it to my list of parts.

I just got my wevo mounts the other day. I will install them this weekend, I hope my engine carrier does not break soon (or at least until I find a solution).

Would the RS transmission mounts be compatible with the Wevo mounts?

After 2 months, and 1000 miles, I can say that I like them. I feel more of the engine vibration, and it just feels tighter. Didn't do anything with the transmission mount however.

I found on track I had difficulty making certain shifts, 2nd gear into turn 5 at summit point and 3 rd into the toe of the boot at the glen. Both high torque tight turns. It's been great since the trans mount was replaced.

Has anyone tried both the Wevo and the RS engine mount? The function should be the same, yes? Is the Wevo advantage all in the price?
