Question H&R Springs - Done. Will it settle?

Hi,
I finally got the H&R green springs installed plus Bilsten HD all four.
The car drives just amazing, just like a new car...
l can't believe how bad it was the stock suspension (and it was really tired to be fair)

The height is better cause the car sits lower but I wish it was still a bit lower on the front...
Do you know if the car will settle a little bit before I jump the gun and get the mechanic to see if the perches have some adjustment left? (this involves a new alignment)

Thanks
Jasper

I have H&R green too. They were installed about 7 years ago but I don't remember any settling. If you want the car lower, have your mechanic try at the adjusters. If that isn't enough, you will need look for different springs.

By the way, the new springs really improve the car, don't they? After I installed mine, I kept asking myself, why didn't I do this sooner?

Its not the springs. Its the blistens. They do NOT get the car low enough. Should have went with Koni.

Here is mine and I could have went way lower. These are with H&R greens and stock struts.

I have used Konis and Bilsteins in the past. I much prefer the ride of the Bilsteins. I found the Konis harsh, but perhaps for competition that is fine.

I also have the H&R/Bilsteins and find them great. With 17"'s the ride height is perfect, on my track wheels @16", I have to step DOWN to get in the car.

My mechanic set the perches almost to the ends when he aligned and corner balanced the car for DE'ing.

You can turn the stops all the way down, but you need to have it aligned. I started with mine all the way down on the front, to get the corners set one side went up a bit. I have also seen lowering perches that will really dump the car. I think the handling will suffer doing the car too low. I love the Bilstien's and H&R Greens.

I just wish it was just a bit lower on the front, I have no interest in a full drop and ruin the balance.
I'm looking forward to take her to the track and see how my times improved...

So go out an enjoy life!!

Thanks for your comments

I believe there are fully threaded Bilstein HD's that will allow to set ride height to RS spec and possibly even lower. Mine sits just a bit higher than RS and perches are all the down in front (rears are not a problem and can still can go much lower). I was really hoping for RS look, but ride even with red springs is great, and there are no issues with clearance over speed bumps, driveways, etc. Very happy with the mod.

HR Reds might have given you more depth. I like mine.
