Default Custom Steering Wheel Offer

Hello everyone,

those of you who visit the 928 forum from time to time might have seen or heard of my work.
For the rest, my name is Paul Champagne and I specialize in custom leather interiors, mainly for the 928.
I do however, take on projects of other Porsche models from time to time and this is precisely what brings me here.

I recently completed the steering wheel pictured for the owner of a 964. However, the client ended up selling his car before the wheel was completed.
I decided to keep it, thinking that it would fit a 928, but research as shown that there might be a compatibility issue with the bag controller.

So, if any of you need a new wheel, this might be what you are looking for:

This is a one of a kind custom wheel with a French seamed airbag. The airbag leather cover is designed not to interfere with the bag's function in any way.

I am looking for $500.00 and that includes the wheel with a brand new hand laced leather cover, the air bag with a custom French seamed leather cover, engraved like the original. Also included are brand new horn buttons.

Thank you for looking and I remain available if there are any questions

Paul

Hey Jerry,

we've done that before. I say we, because my wife Linda is the who hand laces the wheels.
The way we do it is by adding an extra layer of leather. It's basically 2 covers and a lot of work. My wife made me promise never to do it again

It is black. This is the same leather used in the Porsche interiors.

Mine looks a little worse for wear and I could definitely use a new one. I'll have to talk to the boss....(my girlfriend!) to see if it's in our budget.....although I'm pushing my luck. I just bought new rims and rubber.....told her we'll have to do the vacation next year!

Good luck with the sale!
