The ebay one looks like it has a modified 964 front bumper?

...and a modified rear and tail...and different wheels...and standard mirrors...and didn't Ruf badge the Yellowbird as a Ruf, not as a Porsche?

strange car. The bodykit is a 964 Turbo and it came 6 years later... and RUF would never let the Porsche crest on the hood be there when the conversion is ready. RUF builds there own cars.

Ruf has their own VINs. If this car was a real RUF, it would have a RUF VIN with a special VIN plate.

Yeah it is probably FAKE!

Not certain but don't believe RUF made any Yellowbirds on the 964 chassis. Also for the sake of speed Ruf usually uses narrow body cars whether it is a body in white from the factory and given a RUF vin or a customers Porsche which will parobably still carry the original vin.

This is fraud. I have those exact pictures on my computer already, probably after doing a Google image search. Run away!
The pics are of a real Ruf CTR, but not CTR #1 which has those funky ducts in the rear arches that Marc may be thinking of and a different front bumper without those big holes.

CTR #1

Honestly, I can't imagine someone from Rocky Mountain House owning a real Ruf. Besides that the vin is from a vehicle for sale at Circle Imports in Long Beach. Plus it has Newfoundland plates on it. Smells fishy. (Pardon the pun; Canadian Humour.)

So do I - The pictures in my post are from my computer of a real Yellowbird - follow the eBay link to see the sellers' pictures.

Oops shoulda clicked on the link first. That body looks like a 964 Turbo with some different cutouts for the exhaust pipes. Strange. How could anyone expect to sell such a car with only 3 pictues in the ad?

Everyone should relax. Fraud is a daily occurance. Truth lasts forever. I'm off to other interests.

Just for fun, I sent the seller a question (hiding my own email from eBay)... the seller was listed as having an alternate eBay account and "speaking a different language". In other words, likely not living in Alberta as represented. Heh heh....
