Default RSA Roll Bar ?

It seems that DAS sports website has a phone number that is disconnected. There appear to be no direct bolt ins for RSAs. Does anyone have experience with the OG Racing Bar? I know that plates need to be welded in RSAs, but how major of an interior teardown is required. Pictures would be appreciated.

Don at Porsport has a bolt in Matter roll bar, not seen often, for sale:

225 Matter rollbar for 964/993, Bolts to factory mounting points, will fit earlier car with small modification $1,350

This claims to be a bolt in bar/cage for RS Americas:

Cage:

IIRC, CDOC (Rennlist sponsor) and DAS had an affiliation. Did you try contacting CDOC?

Usual disclaimers, no affiliation, yadayada.....Hope this helps.

Depending on your definition of "bolt in" but my autopower roll bar bolts right in and through the floor.

Looks pretty much like the Pegasus bar from ltc's link.

CDOC is the DAS distributor (or one of them). I purchased from CDOC if I remember correctly.

Too bad you're on the other side of the continent. I have a 1 3/4" Autopower rollbar I just removed from my RSA to replace with a seamless 1.5" full bolt in cage to make it legal to race.
The rollbar is in fine condition, but isn't legal to race in ICSCC here - has to be full cage, and has to be seamless tubing (Bar is older, so is made of ERW .120" wall tubing) Freight alone to NY would probably run $200. See Autopower's bars at www.ioportracing.com. Message me if you're interested in mine, and I'll email you pics.

This is not mine and I don't know anything about the seller, but this is a solid price and it will go fast...

Default thanks for the replies

Particularly Lewis, and J Richard.

J, I'm on that lead. Did you mount a bar in yor RSA. I had a DAS bar in my 86, and it bolted to the seat belt spots. With no rear seats in the RSA, how does it mount?

IIRC Das sport offers a kit for the RSA so their bar can be bolted in. Since the RSA does not have the seat belt points of the C2/C4 you need this kit to install it.

Anthony hit it, Das has a nut welded to a plate that gets welded in the stock location, basically putting the seatbelt mount back in place. I got an aerospace high strength gland nut insert and it did the same thing, the Das kit is cheaper and in the end just as easy.

I put an early bar in my rsa, one that goes to the sills at the seatbelt locations, It does limit the seat movement a bit if your tall this might be an issue, I'm 5'10 and its just workable with stock seats, fine with spgs.

IIRC, the 94 RSA is a bit easier, since it comes equipped with back seats (and mounting points/hardware)......don't know if Alan has a 93 or 94.

I have a 93 so I need the kit. Maybe its just a browser problem, but I can't access the kit details. That is why I cant figure it out. Is the 993 Bar the same as a 964 bar, can't figure it out. Either their site is not clear, or my brain is not clear, or some combination of the 2.

I have a bar that was in a 993 in my 964 same bar.

There aren't that many differences between the 993 and 964 other than cosmetics. rear suspension and some interior parts.

For anyone that is interested. I have a Safety Devices full cage available. It has the bolt in diagonal, bolt in/out side impact bars, and bolt/adjustable harness bar. It is a complete cage with upper side window bars and bar above the windshield. It could be run as a roll bar only by unbolting the front half of the cage though. It fits all 964's. Very light, very strong, Safety Devices is top of the line. Stable Energies sell this exact cage for $1500.

Available for $900 + shipping.

It looks like this one. (This is a stock image off of the Safety Devices web site.)
