Does anyone know this chip?
I bought my '89 964 almost a year ago with about 80k miles on it. It has a sticker "A.P.E. chip equipped". Runs great, and I am pleased with the performance, but I would like to know more about the chip. Does anyone have a clue?

Thanks, found their website, and will contact them for specifics.
Does anyone have an opinion about, or experience with their chips? I like the performance, but am having some idle issues. The issues may well be caused by something else, but I thought I'd start by understanding more about the chip.

I've tried to contact them a couple of times and got nothing in response. If you hear back from them post the results! I have their chip too, but have always had it so can't compare to stock chip.

For what its worth, when I bought my car, it came with an Autothority chip that was NOT installed, but included in some spares with the car. I tried to get some info from Autothority on the chip and got no response either. I still haven't installed the chip and don't know if I will, because I'm not comfortable not knowing what the rev limiter is set to on an unknown chip.

Autothority and lack of Service
To say I was disappointed with the lack of service from Autothority would be an understatement.
Anyone that is interested in how bad their service is PM me and I will bore you with the details.
In case anyone is wondering I can not recommend this comapny or their products in any form.

Once again Jason you have impressed!
So the green ebay chip goes quite ways above stock redline - is that safe? It does seem to follow the other autothority chip fairly closely. (which version - .20 .27 or .28?)
With the extra advance of the aftermarket chips do you know if there is fuel enrichment as well?

Well, thanks for the information guys.
I haven't been able to get anything out of APE, as they seem really paranoid about someone counterfeiting their chip.
The timing at WOT helps alot Jason. Thanks again.

"Timing at WOT"
The part throttle should be posted as it indicates much greater "pushing" of the timing over stock,
i.e. in some cases the difference is twice that indicated on the graph.
Bottom line: Hardly any real creativity (discoveries) in tuning, which have
been known from day-one, i.e. advance the timing for that performance feel.
