I wanted to share my winter project, one of them. I fitted my new GT3 seats on brey and krause mounts and added my Porsche red seat belts.
Now to come clean, these are replica seats, carbon fibre backs and are a superb fit and finish and even my local porsche tech didn't know they were replicas.
Hopefully the weather will stay mild and allow me to finish up the rest of the list.
Cheers

I have looked for months for the real things, second hand ones were badly used, over priced and there was always something wrong with them, and trust me, I looked. I did a deal with this company to send me a seat so I could test fit and check them out as I was concerned about quality and fitment. The seat fitted right into the Brey and Krause mount, no redrilling etc. The quality of the seat is amazing. I have seen and sat in many of the real ones and these are just as good. Quality is excellent, leather is soft and supple. All velcro'd in to individual seat bases and backs.
I have zero doubt these are safe and secure and to be honest, and despite they cost half of what the real ones would cost, I trust their quality. I saved a bunch for other things that I need to do on the car. These guys stood by their word and their product. Do I really care if they are replicas, NOPE, they fit, are excellent quality and fitment. Good enough for me.
They are very comfortable, in fact, I added more memory foam into the seat bases to boost under the thigh padding. I'm 6ft 3" and they are far more comfortable than the older seats in the car.
The red belts are Porsche from Gert in Belgium.

Im with you southhampton if you look at how those seats are made there is no way they are worth the asking price that you see (for the real ones). Sounds to me like you did the right thing. Those are probably exactly like the originals only they ask a realistic price for them. Good to see some competition in the seat market.

Clearly they are less expensive than the real GT3 seats. Then again, the GT3 seat is made by Recaro in a limited production and available only though Porsche So yes, inflated pricing. These are knock offs with an unknown manufacturer, and you are paying Recaro SPG pricing for them. I am not saying that is good or bad. You have to make your own decision. What I will say though is that as a shop owner I could and would never install these for a customer. If I sell a Recaro / Sparco and ANYTHING happens, there are these companies behind me. If I install a known knock off, with no knowledge of it I would be liable in the event of an issue. I also could and would not put a customer in a situation where I do not know the quality of a product I'm selling such as a seat or any safety equipment. I hope that makes sense.

Is this the same "company" that originally tried to sell these with a BS story and a fake invoice from a Porsche dealership in Toronto?
There is absolutely ZERO engineering behind these seats and there is no chance they are anything at all like the originals other than in appearance!

i just have to chime in here. i don't know about the quality of these seats but in concept it should be easy to make a high quality carbon shell and apply leather covered pads in the right places. i can surely say the authentic seats are way over priced and in fact a complete rip off like most porsche related parts. i love it!!!

Porsche parts a ripoff??? No way man......you ever noticed how every part that says turbo on it or has a turbo part number costs 3 times as much as a normal part??? Why is that??? Is it because they think turbo owners have money to burn???? I bought a belt tension roller for my car, looked on internet... almost all cars were around 40-80 dollars...my porsche roller $250. Of course it was gold plated.
