Default 964/993 Diagnostic Tool - Plug and play version.

Like most Rennlisters i now have the 964 diagnostic tool. Thanks to all those who contributed - its fantastic!

I got the circuitry made professionally and had to have a minimum number made. I wanted something reasonably nice to look at and idiot proof (me) to use, this evolved into a plug and play thing.

If anyone has not, can not, does not want to make their own i have some ready to go.

PM me for more info.

If it's not giving away "trade secrets", what did you do with the interface plug (car end)? Is there one on the units you produced?

For the plug end i have used a solid rubber AC plug and then trimmed it down to the right diameter, cut in the appropriate notches to match the socket, drilled the holes for the pins, inserted the pins (good solid ones too). Doing all this means that its just about impossible to jamb the pins into the wrong holes. Its a good solid plug and almost idiot and water proof.

Just keep this between you and me right?

Beautiful job Nick. That's the best looking rig I've seen so far. I'd love to buy one if you have one available and can ship to the U.S. PM sent.

Great job! That looks like a very nice kit.

If I hadn't already done my own I'd go for it.
I'm still using the caveman-plug version with the loose wires
