Default Dansk Muffler Bypass ?

Has anyone done the Dansk Muffler Bypass and how did you like it?

I have one on the way. Did you install it yourself? How about hp gains?

Any tips to the install?

Thanks!

I installed the secondary bypass from Dansk (Also called G-Pipe). I like it. Its a bit louder than stock and does not drone in the cabin.

Install was easy.

If you go tot he DIY section of the forum you will find a very good pictorial instructions that I used under the heading "G-pipe secondary bypass fitting guide"

+1. It's a good part, I installed it myself. It's a super-easy DIY. No real HP gains, just weight loss and a really nice sound.

kgorman: do you also have the primary bypass pipe installed ?

Or only the g pipe to replace the secondary muffler ?

Default Dansk:

I've done all Dansk aft of OE cat. What a sound! Fit/finish are unimpeachable. EBS sourcing of same was terrific and a damn good value. Loud ? Admittedly. Healthy ? Very. Local Porsche shops have loved the music, as do I! Can I sneak the car in after a late boozer ? No bloody way.

Check my signature to hear what it sounds like. Also look at the Porsche Videos section of my website and listen to RL user BostonU's exhaust. It's a cat bypass, Monty muffler with no secondary, and it sounds great.

I already have the cat and primary bypass and then bought the Dansk secondary bypass and decided it was too loud after one weekend. Paid $200 I think (listed at $210 at Pelican where I bought it): http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/..._pg1.htm#item0

I will sell for $125. PM me if interested. It has about 170 miles on it on a dry track.

I bought the primary from EBS - http://www.ebsracing.com/ (excellent service, ask for Troy) and couldn't be any happier.. I created this video so other people can tell the difference:

The recording was with the engine stone cold so I couldn't rev it more but you'll get the idea....

Good luck!
