I have run the same configuration and I have to say, it's really the best sound setup without headers or full exhaust mod. I've tried sans secondary/primary and it was just a loud Suburu.
I especially like going under tunnels
Good for track use, I found (with my chip) that I got a jump in acceleration/torque btw 4-5k rpms for sure.

I replaced my cat with a cat bypass. Here what I have detected/learned.
Sound is great (also have a cup pipe installed)
heat sheilds are not necessary (per Fabspeed)
better throttle response
So better performance coming out of corners, assumed more torque
Fabspeed dyno curve shows +14hp at 5800 rpm
very pleased.

A number of manufacturers make a bypass that looks like the original cat. Dansk and Designtek are the popular ones:
Look here at cat bypasses
The straight bypass that looks just like a pipe is made by Haywood and Scott but I guess there could be others who make it like that too?

OPs bypass looks nicer than the Haywood and Scott ones, with a much smoother turn at the end

There is also an ebayer that regularly sells similar pipes for £60.00 BIN
