RUF BTR EVO - price guide please.
A friend in Japan has seen a RUF BTR EVO (93) with 57000Km on the clock for sale. The car is a narrowbody C2 in Silver and has the correct 18" Ruf alloys, it also has a sun roof!! Standard RUF whale tail spoiler, Ruf chin spoiler, Ruf rear reflector and what looks like a Ruf interior (difficult to say from the pictures). The rear bumper is the standard Euro RS/3.6 Turbo unit. Looking at the front bumper lights and side lights its much more likely to be a Euro/ROW spec car than a US one.
I believe it to be a RUF conversion rather than a RUF Vin plated car, although it does carry the small RUF badge on the Front, rather than the Porsche badge.
No idea of service history although it looks very well cared for.
Your thoughts please - I reckon between about £50K-60K in Europe or $80K-100K dollars in the US but I'm only guessing. At £50K and 425bhp it would be a bargin IMHO.

Nice thought , but if it was just the 425bhp then I could shell out for a skyline or other rice burner and still have enough change to get a RS or 964 Turbo to go with my rather weedy 280bhp C2.
Nope has to be a RUF for me to make that sort of commitment.

The RCT Evo has 425 PS!
A friend sold a RCT Evo, Ruf Vin, based on a originale 964 RS!!!
Alois Ruf himself pick itup as a brandnew car in Zuffenhausen and build it up to a original Ruf RCT Evo in 1996!
This car, with 55.000 km was sold this year for ca. 75.000 USD!
80-100K USD for a older BTR, perhaps a conversion with no Ruf Vin, is much to high in my opinion!
Do you have oics from the car?
Greetings Christian

Christian, you are quite correct. My mistake the car is a RCT Evo, not a BTR.

Both cars had extensive RUF mods but neither had a RUF VIN.

Whats the difference between a RUF vin and an ordinary one? If you get the conversion done by RUF you end up with the same thing. Right?

Out of interest I wonder how many right hand drive 964s were built from new by RUF. I'm guessing but I would think that there are probably more converted afterwards.

If i'm correct, that silver RCT Evo in Japan was for sale about 6 months back for 2,000,000 yen - about US$50 something. It sold, so I guess there's your answer.... Personally, I'd give $50 something for it...
