Not this time around... the printer on the machine was bad. I got to see it in the machine before the took it out.

Yes, Jim, pretty cool guy. He corrected the air pressure (I had over inflated the tires to avoid flat spots and forgot to set them back correctly), front was not that bad, the back was the issue. Really felt good driving it back.

It was bad when I got mine done 10months ago! I went back a couple weeks later and he printed it for me. He stores the info on his computer there. He knows his way around older 911's for sure.

I think 3M make these stone guards and I got mine at Perf. Products.

Actually... I think I was thinking of 80 mil... I think that is how they measure them. Ummm... About as thick as two quarters stacked. Mine had the holes already there to work around the glass tips sticking out from the headlight. (I think they are there so the headlights can be stacked and not fall over.) Don't worry... the cloudiness will disappear. When I applied the ones to my Hummer I was about to call to ask for a refund... It had been 3 weeks. A few hot days after that... It was gone and is now crystal clear!

yeah; I have the stuff to do it, but didn't put it on yet. the stone was about plum sized, and I'm not sure it would have saved the lens.

Jim,
I had ordered the film from Griots garage and was going to cut them myself...but when I looked at the headlights closer and saw the bumps, I decided to send them back.
I will order ones already cut for the car so I don't have to dink with it.

Geoff... A hobby knife will leave a pretty nasty hole. Better go the hardware store and buy a punch for the best look.

I think the nubs on the H5 are there so the lenses can be aimed in the automated machines.

Griots website says the precut headlight film is 40 mil thick.

Try AUTOMOTION

I'm not sure if they have the pre-punched holes though. Twice the thickness of Griot's... I think 40 mil will only keep the shattered glass from flying apart after the stone breaks it.
