As best as I can tell, the 1990 cars ran with the 0 261 200 473 Bosch numbered brain in the 964.618.124.00 Porsche numbering series. I believe that Bob's is original with an original chip. I bought the eeprom programming hardware so I can read the chips of all of the cars here to try to confirm that. The 1990 chassis should be a C4 chassis with seam welding applied. Further, as Bob mentions, I believe they run the M64/01 engine and G50/03 transmission. All of this because the Euro RS was not produced until 1992.
I have never seen a 1991 Cup car, so I have no idea the configuration of that car. However, if the pictures and information I gathered from the 1991 C4RS lightweight is any indication, it too would have a M64/01 engine, G50/03 trans and a 0 261 200 473 Bosch numbered brain in the 964.618.124.01 Porsche numbering series which would be one without the fuel quality switch.
The 1992 Cup cars were definitely produced from the Euro RS and have the Euro RS body and running gear, meaning M64/03, G50/10, and a 0 261 200 483 Bosch numbered brain in the 964.618.124.04 Porsche numbering series.
I'll be interested in seeing what your car has for a chip.

I am aware of functional differences between the 473 and 483 brain where the chips from the 473 brain will not work in the 483 brain. But I'm not aware of what the differences are between the .01 and .04. I'm working on reading the code on the chips to determine the differences.
