Default Kicking myself: missed out on an awesome car

Last weekend I decided I'm buying a 964 C4. I started searching.

Saw this one on craigslist:

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/car/175768093.html

I saw the ad and thought: NFW, it has to be a scam. Didn't even bother to call.

Today I googled the phone number. The phone number belongs to a local realtor. A scam artist would not be so prominent. Probably legit!

This also told me 3 things:

(1) Realtors drive nice cars. It was probably a nice car.

(2) Realtors know how to price things (or think they know how to price things), and she probably went to Kelly Blue Book to find out what it was worth when she priced it.

(3) I needed to call RIGHT NOW.

I called.

It's sold.

Now, it very likely sold long before I even came to my decision to buy one, but still:

Gotta be quick! Keep looking you'll find one. Hard telling if that car had any issues or not. Good price for those miles though.

looks nice. By the way its 250HP not 270 as the ad says unless something has been done to it.

Great looking car. Those red seat pipings are hard to find. Turbo wheels a plus. Since she posted the car with 270 HP instead of the actual 250, she probaly did not have a clue about the market price on the car in this condition. Yep, looks like you missed a good one. You'll find another one, but don't hesitate. I did the same with an awesome 92 964 Turbo, lost the car thinking about it for one extra day.

I missed out on a 92 C2 with 44k miles because I wasn't sure I liked the interior color. It was listed for only a few hours on Autotrader for $22k or best offer. Good new is I am happy I didn't get it because when I found the one I ended up with I knew it was "the one" and there was no need to hesitate.

Don't be despondent ... they're out there, but a bit thin on the ground, you just need to keep actively looking!
