I'm going to order a pin today - but may as well get the bushes as well. Does anyone know : do I need #5 in the diagram above, or #12 - or both?

What ever happened with this project? My clutch pedal is hanging & won't come up. I noticed it was "sticking" every now and then & would require me to pull it forard with my foot- so I thought it might be this pin you are speaking of.

Suddenly it was much much worse when I went to start the car today. I couldn't get the car into gear (although I didn't force it) so I turned the car off, put it in gear & was able to move the car backwards, than I let it roll back into the garage & turned it off. Tomorrow I am going to attempt to put it in reverse, start it, turn it off, put it into first and start again and drive to the porsche dealer, which is just a few miles from me. Going to be a long drive :0 I can flat bed the car to my normal shop but just don't have the time tomorrow between waiting for a flat bed, and getting the car there since the normal shop I use is 25 minutes away. Unfortunately, it sounds like it may be more than the pin for me....maybe the slave cylinder?

I still plan to do it - but will probably delay it until the winter when I won't be using the car much anyway.

It does sound like yours might be more than the pin - maybe the slave as you say.

Dave- how much was it to fix your slave? I have it at the porsche dealer- oddly enough, when I started it today the clutch worked "normally" with the hitch feel, but the car wasn't unusable as it was last night. I'm a little nervious having taken it to the dealer as opposed to the independant shop I normally use....they dealer is probably going to be much more money :0

I'll check when I get home tonight. It was part of a rather expensive service - but I'm sure the slave was a very small part of the £3K bill............

I checked - clutch slave looks like it was about £65 for the part. Not sure about labour - there was an "extra labour" charge listed under the master and slave cylinder parts which was for 1.3 hours - so that might have been for them.
