Default Metal Master Brake Pad Question

I just purchased a set of MM pads, but upon inspection there is no clip for the brake sensor wire? Is this true of all MM pads?

I just put on a set of mm pads. There is a little slot, like the oem pads, for the sensor. I don't know what you mean by a clip? could you eleaborate?

Default Here is the link with the photo

Scroll down the following page to Metal Master Pads and enlarge the photo. There is no place to attach the sensor....

Interesting. No its not true of all MM pads. I can give you my exact numbers when i get home if you like (on the pad boxes). I mistakingly got a set of the rears for the early style (their error not mine) and they also had a spot for the sensor. I would say you have the wrong parts if you want to use the sensors.

Default I would appreciate the numbers

from your pads. I will then call them and get the right pads.

Thanks!!

mine have the slots front and rear sets. Actually its the same pad all 4 wheels if you have stock 4 piston calipers
Just looked at that price! I paid less then $30 buying them local at a import car part store.

Ok so I have both my boxes for sending back to pelican, but I dont know which is which. So i'll list both the numbers.

D 951 RM
D 552 RM

One is for the old style 2 pot rears. The other the correct one (or one of the correct ones) for the front and rear newer style brakes. Sorry I can;t be more specific.

Beats me. I tried to find info on the metal master types, but couldn't. If you found somewhere please let me know the url.

I can confirm that I installed my pads, with sensors, with no problems.

Love your car color btw. )

edit: I don't know for sure that the set I got by mistake is for the 2-pot rears. They look the same, but I jumped to an assumption. It could be that those are the ones you found listed for the late 80's fronts. In fact that makes great sense as I didnt know metal master made pads for the rear of the early style c2. So I;d say the other number is the right one.

Default Anyone if the 84-89 pads will work?

Pelican sent me 2 sets of pads, both wrong. AutoWarehouse sent the right pads but no place for the sensors. Jeez>>>>>>>>>

Thanks for the kudo, I purchased the car because of the rare Oak Green Metallic color. Never seen one before, or since, around here.

the set I bought local with the slot for the sensor is BA 088-1298M. Seems like the part numbers are all over the board on these pads. List $52.52 cost $29.78 local
