Ok guys, still very confused. Alex (Ruf) confirmed that ruf do not make 17" wheels for the 964. The CTR wheels will not fit..........

Yet, at least 3 people here have Ruf wheels fitted to their 964 narrowbodies - see my confusion? Also it appears they might be different i.e. one has a 10 mm spacer while the other does not have any. Kirk can you please advise whether you have spacers or not. I know 10mm is not alot however why have a spacer if its not required.

So the plot thickens. I would be very grateful if tonytaylor, Mpeters or KirkF could have a look at there wheels and see whether RUF included a part number. This would really help.

GT-three - you should have e-mail.

tonytaylor if your ever feel the need to change to a set of Cup 2's please give me first option. Very nice, very very nice!!

[QUOTE=Computamedic]Andy,

Maybe you don't want to hear from me, but I don't recall seeing any posts on the PH Porsche forum otherwise I'm sure I would have responded.

Dave always happy to hear from you. I posted it on the smartie's forum around the time we were having problems. A couple of people responded, however the message was the same RUF did not make 17" for the 964. Which might be true, however does not explain why some people have them fitted. I have now at least seen them on a 964 which has only increased my desire to have them.

Hope the re-spray is coming along nicely - did you try the armourguard? product in the end?

Andy

On the wheel it says " RUF SPEEDLINE" "9AR" "9Jx17AH2 ET44" "KBA 42026"

Unfortunatley I only have 2 fronts and 1 rear wheel.

btw they are heavy

Andy,

I won't hijack your thread, but it's looking good. Have a look at the "Very Yellow" thread here

Well, would you believe it. On ebay as we speak some chap in Germany is selling a complete sets of RUF Alloys
2 x vorne: 8J x 17 AH2 ET 56,7 2 x hinten: 9J x 17 AH2 ET 44

So the same as yours Tony. Minor problem - will only ship to Germany and they have been painted grey - which on my Satin Black Coupe will look crappy. Although happy to get them painted if I can get him to to ship.

I now see light at the end of the tunnel. Many thanks to everyone.

My wheels are marked

Front:
RUF Speedline
8J x 17 AH 2 ET56.7
KBA 42025
8A-R
no spacer

Rear
RUF Speedline
10A-R
10Jx17AH2 ET56.7
~10 mm spacer

The rear spacer is required or you would rub on the oil line.

Hope this helps,
Kirk

According to RUF/USA, these wheels are available for a 964.

I don't know the exact off-sets but they are 18's.
