Stereo Amplifier
I am looking to replace the Blaupunct stereo amplifier that sits under the right hand seat.
Mine was missing when I purchased my '91 C2 and I am hoping someone would have one they are not using or have removed from their car.
If you are interested in selling let me know via a private message.
regards Ken

I've got one you can have if it's affordable to send one from the states to Australia. My car has an aftermarket amp and the Blaupunkt is still under there.
I think I can save some weight shipping it to you.

The freight component is not an issue - I will gladly pay that.
I could buy an after market unit but most are too big (and powerful for my needs) but the advantage for me is that all the wiring and connections are there.
Let me know how much you want for it, including removing it we can add the shipping and work out how we get the money to you.
thanks Ken

Ken, if the other one doesn't work out I have the original one I recently pulled out of mine.
Free for the cost of shipping.
Note: the only risk is that I don't know if it works 100%... it wasn't plugged in when I pulled it. Had already been replaced with another amp in another location. It does power on though.

According to the '91 964 C2/C4 wiring diagrams (picture below), the wiring colors at the amp should be (assuming the head has been wired correctly):
Rod
Code:
FR: black / brown-black FL: white / brown-white RR: red / brown-red RL: yellow / brown-yellow

Hmmm... that's interesting - there's a wiring label on the back of the amp that isn't consistant with the wiring diagram. The amp label says the wiring should be:
which reverses the left and right channels, but agrees with top plugs are front and bottom plugs are rear.

Twood, I'd not have hurt feelings if you take the one that's available right now. I also don't know if the amp in my car is functional. It hasn't been plugged in for years I'm guessing so who knows?
I won't be able to take this out for another few days. Perhaps if you are buying freight from the US, we should bundle them both together? It'd save a few dollars in the shipping overseas. One way or another, you should get a functional amp.
