Do you remember the Top Gear episode where they had the 3 cars on the beach?

Every time I drive mine on Daytona beach I want to re enact the first NASCAR races! Problem is if you do over 10 mph they slap you with a ticket

"I think I'd be worried about what it might do to the car"
If you drive your car in the real world , all sorts of grit is getting kicked up as you drive along .
Streets / roads / aves / lanes / highways / freeways are dirtydirtydirty .

I should have pics on Sunday![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Obviously I am not saying I am going to make a habit of it, but I treat the 964 like any other car I own. It gets superb mechanical care with no expense spared (trust me, this is true), it gets warmed up properly before it is driven enthusiastically and of course after a beach trip I spend a lot of time pressure washing all the sand off every centimetre of the car both top and bottom.
Aaaaanyway, I know there will always be people who do not even drive their car when it rains so I know this is a pointless exercise
Hopefully all will be able to enjoy the shots I took (if any came out) regardless of whether you want to report me to the Royal Society for the Protection of 964's (RSP9)![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
(p.s. My paintwork is fairly bright but it is far from perfect. A full respray and bodywork restoration will probably be necessary within 5 years. Not that the car doesn't look good, but I figure if I want something done then I will always do it 100%.....to the detriment of my Porsche Fund's balance...

Fantastic fun, reminds me of the Brands Porsche meeting, year before last. We were the last to leave, a huge wet grass field, no cars, well, it would have been rude not to.
Cheers.
