I think the crest is an add-on sold by AJ-USA, not the airbag/wheel maker.

FVD sells the same wheel without a crest.

"Aitjen" or something like that actually make the wheel, not AJ-USA or Porsche.

I bought my crest off eBay as I wanted a silver crest, not gold.

Marc
p.s. having seen yours, I'll probably install it and take my chances.

Thanks for the help guys, Darrly H and Mavel win the gold stars as they picked the one i was pretty much sold on anyway ! Its a fine looking wheel. I am liking that handbrake in Mavels pic as well, where did that come from? Nice touch.

Dave, the air bag cover pops open to allow the bag to deploy so the emblem would not be an issue. Same with the passenger side, only the bag is deployed otherwise the end results could be ugly. If there is still a concern, www.eagleday.com sells nice vinly decals that look just fine. I bought one and it looks good but eventually I will go with the metal one. I also think aj-usa sells the GT 3 steering wheel without the airbag for half the price.

Hmm. Guess I wouldn't mind the Porsche imprint on my forhead!

Yeah, but it would be in reverse.

Now I want a new 3-spoke wheel instead of my stockade-style wheel. Thanks guys!

Right i think i've whittled my search down to one of these two wheels for my black interior 964. Still not sure which of the two i prefer, what do you guys think?

RS Mk 2 wheel:- www.essentialstyling.com/images/DSC00008.JPG

RS Techequipment:- http://www.essentialstyling.com/imag...copy%20(4).jpg

I think the RS Mk wheel requires a boss and i have seen some pics where it looks like a large gaiter, which i'm not too keen on. Whereas the tech one i think is a straight fit onto the column. But i'm slightly leaning to the RS Mk for pure looks.

I'd say RS MK as well...the 993RS wheel looks good, just a bit "round" for the overall shape of the 964 I think--don't think you can go wrong either way really.

MOMO Veloce, had it 20 years, been on every car I've owned in that time, and still the best wheel I've ever used. Pity they are out of production.
