Default New smile..new owner, new member.

I have had an old 72 for many years in Sweden and sold it when we moved to Italy for a 3 year contract (Marketing Director Saab (General Motors Italy)).
I have promised myself to always own a 911 so now I am into my 2nd.
I looked at many 993s but that can wait. I want to see what happens the next few years in terms of residual values on 993s and 996s, buying is easy, selling is more of a job. I bought this Carrera 4 1992 for 17000 euros. I am now the 3rd owner. Extremely well serviced at the same Porsche dealer every 20000km, now at 170000km(106k miles). Silver with a dark blue interior (not the medium blue which is not a favorite of mine). I have never seen such a well kept interior on a 14yr 964 as in this car (I have looked at 12 cars before I finally bought this one). A few small things to fine tune like ashtray, ventilation fan noise. The car is fantastic. Unfortunately I do not have a garage here in Italy so I bought a Tyvek cover from DuPont.
I will post more pictures later (this one is from the seller)
Today I fixed my membership which I should have done long ago.
Spring is here in Rome as of yesterday (17-18degrees C)

Welcome & good choice.
i used to want a 993, but after comparing driving a few to my 964, i don't think they are as nimble or exciting

Congrats Henrik. Enjoy in good health. Good car.

I don't know how long it takes but since I never reminded or mentioned it to anyone, my Rennlist membership red lettering took a few years!!! Don't let it bother you. In fact the red lettering was not around in the old format I think back before 2001.

Keep up the mileage on the car. My old 993 was Polar Silver with a Midnight Blue plus Provence Blue combination interior; is yours Arctic or Polar? If you don't know but want to find out, post the option codes listed in the booklet/under hood and someone may help out. All the best.

Very nice Henrik, have any pictures of the dark blue interior? As far as the "Rennlist Member" goes, wait a couple weeks and if it still isn't there email Jen directly. That usually gets it up there..

Welcome!

It is Polarsilver. I can trace all option codes except one with 5 digits. Maybe it is not related to the options, it is just visible after all 3 digit codes. I have them at home and will bring them tomorrow.

It can take a while as it has to be done manually.

If you want to pm me your name/e-mail, I can send a note to Jenn and usually get it done quicker.
