Hi Bob,

Did you by any chance replace the long central tunnle cover with a carbon fibre piece? The stock piece is about 10lbs and I've been considering replacing it with a honycomb carbon fiber piece on my car.

Hinges look very light and also look like they incorporate the normally separate bracket for the Turbo decklid into a one piece design.

Two birds with one stone= good engineering.

Geoff - i believe the tunnel is already done in carbon on the GS.

That's neat - it is a part I've never really looked at on my own car until I saw this post. Fun stuff!

From the series of posts over the years, I bet you have enough stock parts laying around to recreate the original GS!!!
