Need a CCU for 964
I posted here as well as the classifieds (only because I know I rarely go there, hope it's cool with the moderators.
Just discovered the problem with the HVAC system in my car is it has a 993 CCU unit. P.O. put it in for reasons unknown, sent it to Systems Consulting is how I discovered problem. My unit is good (SC checked it out), just the wrong one. So if either you need a 993 unit, or have a 964 unit please let me know. Thanks, Mike

Three Wheelin'
Mike,
The 993 unit is the official replacement for the now no longer manufactured 964 part. However, there ARE some small wiring changes you have to make to make it operate correctly. The changes are detailed in Adrian's book on page 338. It's only a simple wire link between two pins on the connector.
Hope that helps.
Regards
Dave

Only one 993 part number works in the 964. The 1996 model year and up version does not work.
89 and 90 models (possibly some early 91s in the USA as well) require a minor wiring modification to get the correct 993 part number unit to work.
Ciao,
Adrian.
