Well, I just voted "for sure" which I guess means you're the maybe (although I know why that is). Hope to see you there.

I'm a definite maybe. Jane's coming too. The only thing that will stop me is if it's really pi$$ing down.

I'm only down as a possible because my oil return pipe let go on Saturday, so i need to get that fixed sharpish - if the cars running I'll be there, regardless of the weather!

Thumbs up

Definite maybe. I'm not coming if it is pissing down. Weather.com is rather bizzarely predicting some sunshine!

Cheers,

David

Me and rain don't get on plus my car is a bit of a wimp (it keeps remembering when it slid off a roundabout on a cold, damp day with cold tyres...).

It ain't the roof that's the problem. My car has no inner wing protectors so mud 'n gunge gets thrown up into the oil cooler and condenser when it chucks it down. It's not the end of the world but I try to limit wet weather outings if I have an option.

The last time I came down to Raymond's in April last year I remember we went down to Goodwood and got caught in the mother of all thunderstorms on the way back!! Just my luck!! Anyway, it's no fun driving when it's pi$$ing down!!

Hope to see you all though on Sunday.

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

I guess I'll have to be the one to ask the obvious question... Why do you not have any liners?

Cheers,

David

David,

It's very simple really. My car has had the turbo wheel arches fitted and, as such, the inner wings are considerably wider than the standard narrow bodied arches which were originally fitted to it. Replacing the whole wing liners with the wider Turbo parts is quite expensive and there is a good chance that they wouldn't fit anyway since the exact dimensions of the aftermarket arches are likely to be different enough to make fitting difficult at best.

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks, I thought you might say something like this. Have you tried modifying the old liners or perhaps trying to get some S/H liners? I look forward to seeing you next week.

Cheers,

David
