Wow! The car looks fantastic Jim! If you don't mind my asking, where did you source the wheels. I'm looking for a second set of wheels for R spec tyres and there are none of the Turbo style, either original or copies, available in Oz at a realistic price.

It's now the twin of Mark Lintott's car - very nice indeed! He's now put spacers on his - they would work really well on yours too...

Yeah I know they need to come out a bit further but for the moment I have spent enough money so I will wait for the coffers to refill a bit before I start spending any more!

Spot on, that's exactly what they are. Can't complain about the price though they are pretty heavy.

Jim,

That would look great in Wales on Sunday. A couple of us meet up on the M60 and drive down together if you're interested.

It would indeed and now living in Leeds a North Wales run is so much more accessible for me but the Monday is my sisters birthday and due to a funeral on that day we are all getting together this Sunday instead so I will need to wait for the next one

woah...! a twin I never knew I had... Car looks great. Actually I really like the gloss finish on the wheels - looks really sharp. mine are a kind of semi matt finish.
I put 5mm spacers all round on mine although I think the rears could probably take 10mm without any ill effects. Got them from Pelican for about $100 plus shipping.
How is the fan in your engine pic (immaculate by the way) finished? is that powder coated? Looks way better than the old grey thing in mine.

Cheers

The fan is powder coated. There was a thread recently about this not being a good idea so on the day that thread appeared I rang my mechanic to ask about painting the fan instead only to be told he had picked the fan up from the powder coaters that morning.

Default Old vs. New

I love seeing our cars next to their younger brothers!

My thoughts exactly!

Of course, I often think that when looking over the front hood while driving, too.

Looks real to me.
(e.g., the matching light flare angle off that rear fender.)

Regardless -- that color, on that color car oddly works for me!
Definitely a lends a Robocop demeanor to that nice coupe.
