Thank you ever so much. Nice to know I'm not alone in appreciating period stuff!
The Red Baron has been a collection of my many and varied hairbrianed schemes, but I think it has come together reasonably well!!

As others have said, wheels look great. I love period or period looking mods. Gotta love the '90s

The link for your car came up in high res. As I looked at it there is excessive amounts of orange peel far exceeding factory limits. Do they plan to wet sand and buff it out? We have been using the Sikkens clear lately and it lays out like a sheet of glass. Almost too smooth but looks fantastic. These cars should have some peel but what I am seeing is a bit severe.

And yes, these cars definitely have a small amount of orange peel from the factory, easy to see repaints that are "too smooth"!

There are several slate Gray codes: 6001 6401 6601 6801 and 615 that we looked at . McQueen's 930 was 615 and is a very green gray. That is the color we painted. We painted samples based on a couple other code formula's and they were dramatically different. The color changes drastically in different lights.

Here are the bumpers painted the same 615.

I have no doubt it will come out very nice the color is great. They put a lot of clear and will buff it out.
The clear we have been using eliminates the need to sand. Just fix any minor dirt issues and a simple buff and you have a perfect mirror finish. Down side is the material is quite pricey although the time to sand and buff saved is huge.
