Maybe belongs in the silly question thread, but how do you get all 4 jackstands underneath without a lift? I'm guessing you get the front up in the air, use a jack against the engine and slide the other two stands in the back?
I have a big wood plank made of a couple 2x4s and plywood that I use to jack up the front by the floor of the front tub. Spreads the load across the whole floor. Plus since the car's weight distribution is so rearward, there isn't much weight on the nose, especially if the rear is already in the air (jack stands at rear jack points, that's pretty much the car's center of balance). It practically pulls itself off the ground.
