Ok- fine. now a brake/clutch bleed is on the list, as is the SS lines, even if they won't give me a stiffer pedal.

I am still in the middle of the rebuild process. Sunset Porsche shipped my clutch parts last week, but I am still trying to figure out what to do about my cylinder gasket problem.

(Final engine dissassembly this weekend, if all goes well)

And then I read that article in total 911 about the white supercharged porsche...

I wish they had given more techincal details about the tpc kit. I am afraid to phone them and ask any questions because I am liable to hang up with another $7k on my credit card.

I am pleased to report that I am making progress.

Recently I managed to get the new Dansk sport cat. re-installed along with new heat shields. You can also see the new CHT sensor and bracket, H&R coil-overs, rear stainless brake line, and rear brake shield (painted with Por-15 and Chassis Black).

I have to replace the rear drop-links next to be able to put in the TRG 22 mm rear sway bar and then re-install the rear rotors and freshly-VHT-painted (and baked) calipers.

Now -- if I can just get the new front strut mounts and gaskets delivered, I can start putting the front back together too.

very nice "free fall" Is the TRG 22mm rear sway any different than the factory 22mm?

Marc... You've knocked off a lot of stuff off of your list! Good Job!

How about a shot of the whole car as she sits now?

Good job Marc. I hope you realize you will fall into a black hole once everything is checked-off. Where will the next slope lead to?

Cost is about the same (US$279 Porsche vs. US$299 TRG).

Main difference is that the TRG is adjustable (3 holes) while I am told the Porsche one is not.

Thanks, man.

Car looks about the same as when I posted the "Random 964 Picture" thread a while back except that now the front suspension and brakes are off.

I put the rear brake rotors back on today after getting the rear drop links off so the brake shields are now less visible.

Anything in particular you want to see?

I hope I don't fall in a black hole - I'd like to drive this car again before I disappear, having not driven it since early December.

I have started on the list for next winter already (paint engine tin, replace engine mounts, new ignition wires, replace valve covers, and on, and on......).

I really like the look of the painted shields too. I mainly did it as the old ones have huge holes in them like Swiss-cheese from rust so hopefully these will last better. I'll see what they look like next winter and if they look bad then, I'll powdercoat the next pair.

Marc
p.s. I just ordered a powdercoating machine and a table-top media blaster so now I am looking for things on the car to try them out on.

Marc... Absolutely beautiful! Your pictures remind me of a funny desk plaque that my father had years ago. I'm not sure who the quote was attributed to... It said, "I love work... I could watch it for hours!" I love to watch your progress. You are methodical to say the least.

This may be a stupid question... But could you also post or PM pictures of your jack points and how you have the car sitting on them? I'm going to need to jack mine up this spring and I'd like to see how you set yours up. NO rush... Please... If they are in another thread just let me know and I'll find it.

When you finish this up, you'll be like a kid in a candy store!

Oh yeah, I guess you can also see the rear "Carrera 4" emblem delete....

I have a real 964 "Carrera" emblem I had expertly painted silver by Eric of BumperPlugs but I am not sure I'm going to put it on -- I kinda like the bare bum look.
