Default Racecar Project - $50k Steering Wheel

In professional racing series it is not uncommon to have a steering wheel with multifunction switches and a display/logger. At times these can cost as much as $50k. I finished the steering wheel for my car tonight and while it is nowhere near $50k, I certainly won't be throwing this one in anger!

A friend made a carbon fibre plate to attach the additional switches to. I need to get 2 more bolts to secure the carbon fibre plate and I need to finish the wiring. The steering wheel serves the following functions:

MoTeC ADL Page UP/Down - Momentary toggle switch (2 way)
MoTeC ECU Pit Speed limit - Push on/Push off with LED indicator
MoTeC ADL Alarm acknowledge - Momentary push on
Radio communications talk - Momentary push on
Headlight Flash - Momentary push on

Geoffrey, I am looking forward to seeing your completed car next season. Really looks great and well thought out. There was a guy in LI that had the original 964 RSR with the same mobil oil paint scheme a few years ago. It was for sale for about a year ... not sure what happened to it.

I have some pictures of the LI car at Watkins Glen. While it is a real RSR, it is not one of the original Mobil 1 cars.
