Did you remove only the old gasket ? or you did remove the locking pieces of the cab roof ? (you know .. the metallic pieces were the roof goes and lock itself)

I believe the PERMATEX BLACK SILICONE ADHESIVE SEALANT is a similar product. I'm asking this because the 3M one doesn't seem to be easily accessible here in europe. (belgium at least).
What do you think ?

Yes, I removed the old gasket and the remaining glue. I used 3M adhesive remover to dissolve the old glue. I don't remember having anything other than the gasket. The roof locking brackets stay in place.

As for the Permatex, the 3M weather strip adhesive is a contact cement. I'm sure many types of glue can be used. Let us know how it works out.
