Putting a label on a dashboard switch
Hi friends,
I recently put in a dashboard switch to control the speed input into the rear spoiler (see Garrett's thread here for details). I installed a DPST switch to the left of the ignition switch (on a LHD car) where the headlight aim switch is in European cars.
Does anyone have any suggestions about the best way I can put a label on a dashboard switch? I know a few people here have/had sign businesses (Rick? Duncan?) and perhaps have a few suggestions as to how I can silk-screen or otherwise apply the logo below (a digital photo of the spoiler control enhanced in PhotoShop).
I also included pictures of the switch and the dashboard.
Thanks........Marc
p.s. Looks pretty stock, eh?

Marc... There are a lot of switches on the dash that have no labels. Your switch may look out of place if you do label it. (The switch looks great by the way!) If it's something that you'll be pressing a lot, you should probably have it silkscreened on if you label it. Vinyl would work if its something that you won't press that often. (Plus you could have extras made to re-apply it when neccessary.) But I think it will look out of place if you label it.
IMHO... You should leave it blank.

Leave it as is...vinyl is sooo hard to adhere to because of the oils. Whatever might adhere initially may not last through sunny highs and winter lows.
Was there a knock out behind that panel or are you that skilled with a knife?
