Nope.....you need offset around 52-55 - the widths are fine though. These must be 944/968 wheels or something...?

I would guess these are replica cup wheels to fit an earleir 911 (SC or similar)

Agreed, those low offsets must be replica wheels for older 911s/944s. 964s and late 944/968s use the higher offset wheels. Here are the factory specs:

7x17 et 55 (965 362 124 00) for C2/C4 front
7.5x17 et 65 (965 362 124 05) for 968 front
8x17 et 52 (965 362 126 00) for C2/C4 rear
9x17 et 55 (965 362 128 00) for C2 TURBO, 968 rear

You can do some mixing and matching with the applications, i.e. using 8s and 9s on a C2/C4.

I have seen some of the replica cup wheels that have a 47mm offset on the 9" wheels. These acutally look pretty good on the rear of 964s and 944s, because they fill up the rear wheel well nicely. But the 15 and 23mm offsets you mentioned will not fit on your 964.

Was that your car parked in Newburgh High St this afternoon about 4:30pm?

If not, there is another red 964 in the area.

Cheers

Hmm, I wonder who it was. There are so few 964s around here that every time I see one I feel I ought to know who it is!

Cheers

That is what I have (except 8.5 rears - Boxster twists). I needed a 5 mm spacer front otherwise they'd rub on full turn - otherwise perfect.

Yes, they are identical to the ones I used to have, and I didn't have any rub on any lock even before I upgraded to the later steering stops. If you have some slight rub on the front I would go for a 3mm shim. Its not an exact science, as all the cars seem to be slightly different. For example, I have 8.5 inch wheels on the front with the later steering stops but no spacers/shims and I don't get any rub. At least no more than a slight touch that you can't hear or feel at full lock. Weird eh?

Do you have the factory specs for 18" on a 964 as well?

Peter

There are none I would think. The only 964 to have factory 18's was the Turbo. Or was it only the 3.6? Either way the offsets will be fubarred.
