Default WTB-Used Secondary Muffler

I somehow cracked my secondary muffler this weekend and need to buy another one. Anyone out there with a by-pass who wants to sell theirs? If you have one please send me a PM. I need it within two weeks, so USA shipping is preferred.

Thanks,

Jim

I hate messing with PMs (since servers can be slow, etc...) but if nobody else has hooked you up yet - drop me an e-mail at david.schultz@comcast.net

My secondary is just taking up space in my garage since I put on the Dansk G-pipe.

I was going to offer a swap if you had a spare G-pipe around...

Bought! Thanks David. Actually I got two offers and am buying both since I have cracked two in the last year...not sure what the deal is, except both times I was at the track.

Hawk, I have the primary by-pass, so not G-pipe, sorry.

Where are the cracks appearing on the pipe? On the pipe itself or the muffin's outer shell?

I've been working on a couple of experiments. Two secondary pipes that I've removed, one from the C2 and the other from the C4.

Anyways, if your broken pipes are going to be discarded, I would appreciate the opportunity to scavenge them for the furtherment of my secondary mod project.

PM me and let me know.

Jim, can't you just weld back up the cracks to fix them?

Duncan, I have to run, but will PM you later today and you can have it.

Garrett, I asked one of our local 964 experts and he said it would be better just to get a newesd one. It is the outer shell and the metal is very thin there, not sure if that has something to do w/ it.

Thanks all,

Jim

Jim

I've got a primary bypass and my secondary muffler split as well. My mechanic has seen this failure before on similar exhaust systems and he attributes it to some sort of resonance.
The alternative is reinstall the primary muffler and use a G pipe, which saves about the same weight and yields about the same power, I believe.
