bins is right.
I think there is no original factory alarm for early 964 model. Those are all dealer installed, and bad quality.
I threw away the old one and installed a clifford one. Clifford is one of the best quality one you can find on the market, I always use their products without any problems.
As others have said, there was no keyless entry for the early 964's.
Since the car has central locking, it's easy for an alarm installer to add the remote keyless entry feature. You can have them just add remote keyless entry, or, for only a few more dollars, they'll add an aftermarket alarm.
Just make sure that they've done other Porsches and have done good work. Poorly installed alarms/stereos are the source of some major electrical glitches, and they're a pain to track down.

Dear Greg,
I would be interested in such a system, especially if I take my C4 home to Australia. Would you be so kind as to give more details of this dealer who has this product,
Ciao,

I have been having a electrical draw problem. My mechanic thinks it might be attributable to the aftermarket keyless remote system that I had installed. He says the alarm gets armed and disarmed with the insertion of the key. There may be times that the alarm is not being disarmed when I instead use the remote to open. He also suspects that the alarm doesn't sound because he thinks there is a separate horm dedicated to the alarm and that it might be disconnected. Does any of this make sense? Is there a separate horn dedicated to the alarm? Where is it? Thanks, Gary
Have a read of this Pelican Parts thread. I installed the keyless entry mentioned in that thread. Took a little more than an hour on my 89 964 and its been perfect. Price was about $50.
i have a viper keyless entry and alarm and its been perfect a little touchy but all in all i am very happy.....
i am not a fan of aftermarket alarms being they keep cars from working but this one was properly installed and is dead on when someone is even almost touching my car.....
