Seat Removal....HELP!
Okay, I'm in a jam here. I'm removing all my carpeting to install a cage, Sparco seats, and new RS carpet. The passenger seat cannot be moved forward or backward to access the rear socket head screws. I can access and remove the fronts but not the rears. The seat only moves 1/2 inch forward and backward. I'm not sure what is limiting this movement. It seems like something on the left rail (closest to center) is prohibiting any movement. How the heck can I remove my seat? The seat is manual on the forward and backward movements but is power on up and down movements. Any suggestions?
John - the channels in the seat rails are notorious coin collectors; are you sure they're clear? I have the same seats as you and ran into this issue when I was trying to move the rails back to the "extended legroom" mounting holes on the driver's side.
Good luck.

John,
You want to get upside down and see what's blocking it. I didn't have any problems moving the seats (which were manual forward/back and electric up/down like yours) forward enough to undo the two bolts on each track rear.

Thanks for the replies. I have the seat adjusted at the highest points both front and rear. I did check for any obstructions (i.e. coins, pistachio nuts, loose screws, etc...) but to no avail. I'll look again. I was wondering if I can somehow take the seat apart and remove it piece by piece. It doesn't seem like I can and I would like to avoid grinding or cutting existing brackets. I've been at this for two nights in a row and my patience is running low!
John,
I removed my seats two days ago and had the same problem.
Tighten the front screws again so that the seat is realigned and then try to slide it forward.
If it works I would recommend that you remove the rear screws first.

I second Autobahn's recommendation. Put the fronts back in, push the seats all the way forward, then remove the rears first. I replaced my two front seats and did not have any problems.
