Ok, sorry to be anoying but can soemone tell me why an air cooled engine can't get to the same HP levels as a water cooled one. Is it becuase of soemthng to do with air cooled engines or is it simply that the water cooled motors are more technologicaly advanced in any event .
Or to put it another way, if Porsche relaunched an air cooled motor today, with all the available modern technology, could they get the same output as the current version of the water cooled motor.
There is something about the air cooled motor sound etc. that I love. But we all have to be realistic. In 12 years time how will a 2005 porsche fair relatively speaking, when compared to say a 93 964 today ie reliability, maintenence costs etc?
