Cool Spoilers and Splitters

Hi folks!!

Looking for side photos of 964 with spoilers and splitters... trying to decide what to go with.

So if you have a wide bodied cabriolet with a rear spoiler and some front lip/splitter, or any combination, please post a side profile photo.

No wide bodied cabriolet... fine. Any 964 with a spoiler would do... I am just trying to see what would look good on my car...

Also, if you can document the source/company you bought the spoiler from (unless it was in the car when you bought it).

I need to take a photo of my car (side profile) to start doing the comparisons...

I see if I can post some pictues tomorrow (its night here right now).
What size wheels are you running? Any issues with tyres fouling fender liners on turns ?

Thanks.

Running stock 17" Cup alloys

8x17 with 205/50-17 tires in front and
10x17 with 255/40-17 in the back...with huge-*** spacers

Here you can see the front spacers. I can measure the thickness if you need that info

Rear spacers:

I always liked the factory splitters myself. Mark S from Flachbau.com had a set he was selling a while back but you can buy Carbon Fiber pieces that mount to your existing valance covers from MA Shaw.

That has got to be the biggest spacer I have ever seen. Why not just go with 0 offset wheels and 3/4" spacers. It would look very cool with the deep dish look. like the RS.

Mine are the factory splitters but the MA Shaw ones look identical if painted.

Darn Geoff I sure like those wheels! Jaime the splitters that you saw on my car were the Rennspeed fiberglass ones like on Dans car above. Dont think they would work on your wide front fender. Maybe they have a widebody style.

Jaime.. You need either the Turbo tail or the Carrera (RSA) tail. Anything else would look weird on a turbo body. Just my .02...

Here is the best current side view of mine... I've been thinking about the Carrera Tail instead of the Turbo tail. I think the Carrera tail is a bit more "refined"... The Turbo tail is a little too over the top on a non-turbo Porsche. (But I think it still looks good.) Just my opinion.

Jaime.. Let me know if you'd like additional shots...

Again I like the factory designs they are all great.

My favorite is the turbo S design it is the predecessor to the 993 turbo tail which is my least favorite. Funny they are very similar yet one I love and the other I could do without. The RS tail is great but unless you are tracking the car it is a bit much and invites trouble. The tubo S is the largest wing put on a street Porsche that does not have an adjustable wing.

I am seriously thinking about buying one. Again MA shaw along with a few others sell replicas. Originals are too pricy.

Anthony- is that Turbo S tail body color-coded like the 993TT tail? Will your intercooler fit underneath it?
There was a Ruf 964 in the first issue of Total911 that had a great looking color-coded tail. Is this the Turbo S tail?

Chris,

Yes it is body colored like the 993TT tail. The Turbo S was basicly the same as my car so it is a direct bolt on. I do not have the first issue of Total911 so I don't know if it is the same.
