Default What's included in (Option Code P03) Technic Package

I called PCNA and got my Codes off of the cardex as the tag is missing from the hood. C02 and P03. I know that C02 is cat converter and Adrians book lists P03 as "Technic Package". So what is included in the Technic Package ? Any one know ?

thanks

Strange -- Adrians book lists it but no clues as to what was included in the option.

Jerry,
Porsche keeps pretty much the same options/exclusive codes for all models (MY73 - MY05) so look for what the "technics" package includes today. In the 996 it is mostly power and heated everything with lots of extra Porsche logos affixed to everything (color logos are part of the advanced "technics" ). If you have photos of your interior and front trunk I'm sure we could figure it out real quick. Or send an email to Adrian, he might know or at least where to look if there is anywhere to look.

Thanks, The car is pretty basic, 4 way power seats are about the only advanced things I have in the car. I'll keep doing some research and see what I can come up with.

Well if it's club coupe I was ripped of due to mine being a Targa ! I should ask for the rest of my roof !

I never did find out what P03 was -- If anyone else has ideas I'd love to hear them.

My previous P-car, a '94 968 Coupe, had the P03 Advanced Technic Package listed as an option code as well, but I never did figure out what it was. Neither could the guys over at 968.net. It remained a mystery to me. It sure sounds like a cool option, though...

Mine is missing, too. Could you give me a bit more detail on how you got your codes?

Thanks,
Dave

Basically I found the number on the PCA website for PCNA in one of the tech forums. Call the number and give them your VIN and they will dig up the "CARDEX" (which is a detail list of some kind) and read off the options to you. The people at that phone number have no idea what the different codes mean but they can be looked up on the internet o r in Adrians book. However know ing what they are doesnt mean knowing what they mean -- hence this thread !

I'll see if I can find the number again and post it.

You can also ask your local dealer to run the VIN for you; they did quite a few for me when I was looking for our purchase.

Default P03 is:

the Cassette option for the AM/FM radio- nothing more. I e-mailed Porsche, who sent me to customer commitment, who sent me to a dealer. I called my buddy at the dealership, and he had an old paper copy of all the options. P03 was simply the AM/FM cassette deck.
