I would have thought that £8.00 per litre should buy you a fully synthetic like Mobil 1 e.t.c. Castrol Magnatec is more like £4.00/l from places like Halfords.
BTW where did you see the Castrol RS 10W60, I'm tempted by this on the next change but have only seen RS 0w40 so far.
I use Magnatec at present FYI

Magnatech costs £7.99 in the individual litre bottles at the local petrol station. Halfords only sell the large cans don't they?

Anyway, the Castrol Formula RS 10-60W is available from select stockists only try calling Castrol for a local ditributor.

I have bought 1l bottles from Halfords before, must admit I can't remember the price so you could be right.
