Ebay... They have a wealth of parts... Or anything for that matter. No matter what you want... If you look on ebay over a 2-3 month period... It will show up for sale.

Are you looking to replace the buttons because the icons on the front have worn off or because they don't work? The buttons/switches are available from any Porsche dealership, the part numbers are:

944-653-921-00
944-653-922-00
944-653-923-00
944-653-924-00

Darn dealer told me you couldnt buy the buttons. Said I needed to buy the whole unit. Think I will go back over and show them the numbers. We are talking about the 2 little square buttons on the right side?

Yes the 2 Little buttons. My dealer said the same even with part numbers-unavailable. This is the same unit in the 944 per I think adrians book so im going to check salvage yards for 944 buttons(should be less premium i think for 944 vs 911 maybe maybe not)

Just to clarify - you cannot buy just the plastic "cap" on each button (which you can pry off) - you need to buy the whole "switch", which is the actual switch mechanism.

My plastic caps were worn down, but the switch mechanisms worked fine, so I inquired about buying just the plastic caps - no luck, Porsche only sells the entire switch mechanisms. So, I bought all of the switch mechanisms (there were two - defog and recirculate was one switch mechanism and a/c was another switch mechanism - I think they were around $25 each).

Are the parts NLA, Factory Backorder or none in the USA/CAN? Did your dealer check the inventory of other dealers in the USA?

i know, i know - bringing the thread back from the dead, but looking at this :

http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...-88/813-30.php

the above part numbers are referring to a single tip switch - not two separate switches.

as it is depicted here :

any chance someone has figured out where to get just the two switches ?
