G-force motorsport seems to do them, and at £55 for a one off dyno run, a dyno day should be a bit cheaper.
Opinions on the back of a postcard to ......<a href="http://www.g-force-motorsport.co.uk/dyno/dyno.htm" target="_blank">http://www.g-force-motorsport.co.uk/dyno/dyno.htm</a>
Just got off the phone with Chris (a fellow Aussie - I promise not to mention the rugby league score of 64-10 Ooopps!!).
Anyway, they do days for minimum 8-10 cars on a Saturday. They would do power runs for £45 inc vat inc bacon sandwich & cup of tea etc. Its normally £65, so that ain't bad. He mention this is not for just one run. The fee gets enough runs to give a consistent power readout ie two runs within 1 hp . Sounds OK to me.
I can't do any until the end of the cricket season, but he said September 28 is available. He sounds really sensible (ie not offering miracle 25hp gains for £200.
Anyway, if we can get 10 of us together it sounds like a blast.
p.s. they have an automatic pinstripe correction factor available )
I, fortunately, do not suffer with the pinstripe factor, but as a good South african supporter, I would like to wish my Antipodean colleagues good luck for the upcoming tri-nations rugby union (I know you Melbourne dwellers struggle with "the other league"), but good luck nevertheless.
Getting back to the subject at hand (before our American friends wonder what we are on), it would be intersting to see the difference between the various tuners, JZ, AMD, and the methods used, hotfilm, throttle body, re-map, etc...
Now THAT is a day worth attending... bacon bap and tea...I'm there!
Yes
Dave, click on the link - they can handle AWD, upto 600 BHP to the front and 1200 BHP to the back, all in a climate contolled booth apparently, with fresh air fan forced onto coolers etc..
Any more UK C2 owners available for a dyno day in September?? If we could get a mix of stock, mild mods (ie K&N, de-cat) and more modified (chips, MAFs, wdie bore throttles bodies etc), we could do a fairly controlled (ie same dyno, operator, temperature etc) power comparison.
Hi John,
Seeing that I'm South African and a Tri-nations supported I'll be very keen to come up, the only problem is that "limitation" of 1200BHP on the rear!! after a couple of beers I'm sure my car puts out more than that!!! (ha, ha..)
Just checked my diary - I will be in Thailand from 16 Sep to 4 Oct. How about an October date?
I wasn't actually going to do a dyno until I am due to do some mods - as my car is completely stock and therefore I have limited interest in finding out RWHP as it is now. Mind you, as I am looking to do something sooner rather than later - I suppose I might as well do it sooner....how about October?
