Post 993 windscreen on 964

Dear friends,

does anyone know whether the 993 front windscreen would fit on the 964?

Hi - looked into this several years back. The 993 windscreen actually incorporates into the 993 top frame (when the top goes up, the windscreen flattens out on the inside of the top). Some guys selling it then were offering a mod kit, to get it to work on the 964 frame, but I never bit. I use the 964 windscreen and love it.

Guys,
I think you are talking about two different things. Emilios, aren't you talking about the glass front windshield, while Monty is talking about the pop up wind deflector for a cabriolet?

Rick....

It's a shame Rick stepped in to clear up the 'cross purposes', it could have got interesting!

Yes Rick,

I am referring to the glass front winshield. I took a 993 turbo S for a test drive a few days ago and I liked (apart from a few other more obvious things) the front windscreen - which has more black tinting around its perimeter and also its rubber? seal looked more modern / more aerodynamic. I want to have mine replaced as I have had a few stone chips and I also want to have the top green tint - hence my interest.

hallo
We have done that . You have to make the metal lip on the car 5mm longer ,than it will work .
And you have to do this all the way around or you will have Windnoises , because you can not glue the screen all the way around.
