Default Dead Pedal / Foot Rest

Is anyone using the AJUSA Billet Foot Rest? I have their billet aluminum pedal set (love it) and wanted to add the foot rest as I am wearing out the little vinyl pad that is sewn into the carpet.

Does it screw straight into the foot rest, or did you mount it to the AJUSA foot rest that is designed for the 911? Pic's would be great.

Thanks

Hi,

I installed the Rennline foot rest/deal pedal - no experience with the AJ one.

I just screwed it right in with stainless screws - just be careful as the wipewasher pumpis in that wheelwell (with the wipewasher tank) so I took the wheelwell covers off to make sure I did not drill or screw into the pump.

See https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/189671-pedals.html for a picture (sorry again about the dirt! ).

Yikes, how long of screws did you use?! My washer pump and tank are in front of the wheel, behind the headlight... I think you just end up screwing into the heater/air ducting that is running in the boxed sections... or you've got a strangely positioned washer pump and tank!

I used #10 3' screws to anchor it to the front bumper, through the right front wheel.
Gotta line it up just right to get through the holes in the brake rotor as they are a bugger to drill.

Actually, I was told by an independant p-car mechanic the washer pump was there (tank is in upper section in my car) and I found what I thought was washer pump in rear wheel well above a square silver access panel I did not remove (so did not know what it was for). He may have been thinking of a model other than a 964. I did not damage the pump but I was worried about blindly drilling and screwing so removed the wheel well cover to check.

#10 3/4" screws worked as the supplied 1/2" screws did not seem to hold well with the thickness of the carpet and I did not, as mentioned, want to blndly harpoon something (like an oil or brake line, etc).

I have a set of Vosstek pedals for my 964 from Better Bodies http://www.betterbodiesmotorsport.com/trackpedals.htm and I was wondering if the AJ dead pedal is close enough to match it.

I doubt that anyone would know but there's no harm in asking. It *looks* like it might be close

AFAIK, Vosstek doesn't offer a dead pedal for the 964, just the stop, go, and clutch

Default RHD Foot Rest

Hi all Listers,

While we're on the subject, can anybody tell me how to install foot rest on a RHD car? I got the foot rest (Vostek, I think) a while ago and all there is in the package is a foot rest and a couple of nuts and bolts . I thought there should be some kind of a bracket to attach it to the tunnel. Appreciate info from anyone who had done it.

I received the AJUSA foot rest and installed it (very easy). It's actually much nicer than in the photo above (slightly different shape) and it matches the pedals exactly. Great deal for $35
