WTB: Engine stand yoke for 964

WTB 964 Engine (maybe)
Are there any rebuilt (reconditioned) 964 engines out there for sale?
Later this year I will rebuild the top end of my 964 engine, replace the clutch, seal a few oil leaks and generally refurbish my engine that has around 160,000 kilometers on it.
Rather than not have the car for quite a few months are there any 964 engines out in the world for sale. With the strong Australian dollar it could be feasible to buy a second engine, install it and then refurbish my engine at leisure.
So my question is who, has anyone a latish 964 engine for sale and is prepared to box it up for shipping to Australia. i will organise all tranport.
Not expecting a large response but if you do not ask the question then you never find the answers.

I have a factory 964 turbo spoiler. It was recently stripped and prepared for painting so it is in gray primer the rubber is in excellent condition comes with screens, hardware, and internal shrouds for installation on a 964 turbo. Basically complete minus the lid. I was going to ask $1000 for it since it is ready for paint which cost me more than I care to admit.
I also have a factory lid from a 930. It is nearly identical from what I can tell to the 964 lid and will bolt right up. (there is a minor variation in the center support rib where the light and hardware bolt up). It is painted red and needs to be stripped prepped and painted. I was going to ask $650 for it.
The issue is I do not have the time to go through the paperwork to ship to the UK so if you are interested I could safely box it more than likely 2 boxes and if you want to arrange to have it picked up and exported I would be happy to work with you on the price. Just figured I would offer since you seem to be running into a brick wall with this one.
I do not have any pictures of the spoiler but I can provide them. The only pictures I do have of the lid have a factory turbo S lid mounted on it in original factory gel coat. This tail is also for sale including an original 964 turbo Lid which is in primer ready for paint but since it is the only remaining factory turbo S lid known to exist including the proper turbo S shrouds to fit the inter-cooler. I am asking $10,000.00 for it including turbo lid. Cost was $6000.00 new in 1996 minus shrouds and lid.
PM me if you are interested. I am quite busy so depending on life I may respond quickly or need a day to get back to you.
Otherwise good luck

Anthony, thank you for replying to my Wanted Ad.
I really want the rear spoiler with the 964 turbo rear lid in tact too!
I'd love the Turbo S spoiler and lid, but can't afford that sort of price.
thanks

22K ... PM with questions
Pink slip in had, registration current. Clean VIN.
Car has 127k miles, engine rebuilt at 118k (paperwork showing rebuild in hand)
Paint is pretty fresh, most of the car has been repainted (no accidents). Front and rear bumpers could use some attention.
Since rebuilt, only Brad Penn (high ZDDP) oil has been use and has been changed every 2k miles. Always garaged, not driven in the rain.
New clutch at 118k as well. RS clutch with light weight flywheel.
Reground cams
Fabspeed intake cover
Steve Wong chip
Secondary muffler bypass
Cross drilled rotors and steel braided brake lines (ATE Blue brake fluid)
Double din style Clarion radio unit with navigation (custom built)
RS Style wing
17in 996 10 spoke Porsche wheels (Hankook RS-3 tires in good condition)
Custom rear wheel spacers
ARP head studs
Momo steering wheel (car will come with original wheel with airbag)
Unfortunately, there are a few bad things I would like to disclose . . . ABS, not working. Since I had the car, it never has, never bothered to find out. Sunroof failed on me. I paid to have it close. Does not leak (useless sunroof in my opinion) Valve cover seals are ever so slightly leaking.
So more on the rebuild ...
- Top end rebuild included new valve guides, reground seats, and surfacing heads
- belts have been replace
- new cam chain guides
- new spark plugs
- seals
- new piston rings
- pistons were cleaned of all carbon deposits
- all the tin was repainted
- the list goes on and on . . .

I hear you. I searched for quite some time for a 964 lid. I keep toying with painting the Turbo S lid and putting it on my car and if I do that it has to be all factory perfect or not worth bothering. I had to buy both the lid and tail to get just a 964 lid. They are much harder to come by than the 930 tail/lid combo which usually sell in the $1500 range for parts needing repair and paint.
I figured I would offer it since I have seen your posts in a number of places and seem to be having the same difficulty that I had locating one. (took me almost 2 years) I just got the tail back from the body shop so I haven't been actively selling it. If you find a lid without a tail you know where to find me. Otherwise I would want $2k for everything 964 which you can probably do better but might take a long time. Meanwhile if you decide the 930 lid will work I am motivated to sell at a reduced price.
Good Luck

WTB blower down pipe
WTB the elbowed down pipe that comes off the blower motor and heads down to behind the left side engine mount i.e. not the connection to the fan shroud. Clear as mud? Needs to be in good nick as mine has been crimped my clumsy meschanic at some point. Thanks, Adam.
